Nags Head & Tar Heel Motel, the perfect choice for families the past 50 years.

It's only the beginning of May and you can walk the beach at Nags Head and find sand castles at the surf's edge. Remnants of someone's perfect day at the beach on the Outer Banks. Who doesn't remember the excitement as a kid when we knew we were headed to the shore for the weekend or if we were lucky enough a whole week! Sun, sand, surf all day followed by miniature golf, go-carts and ice cream in the evening. Going to bed so exhausted, yet at the same time, full of anticipation for the next day's adventure.

Tar Heel Motel strives to keep family vacations affordable. We love seeing those smiling faces and hearing tales of the adventure that day - be it sailing a pirate ship, catching fish for dinner of the awesome sand castle they built by the surf's edge.
